Much-Talked-About Saturn–Rahu Conjunction
Saturn transits into Pisces on 29 March 2025 on Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra and enters the Uttara Bhadrapada nakshatra on 27 April 2025. Rahu, which is transiting through Pisces, enters the Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra on 17-19 March 2025, earlier to Saturn’s entry in to Pisces. Rahu will then move into Aquarius on 19 May 2025.
Between 18 April 2025 and 20 April 2025, Saturn and Rahu will conjunct at the same degree.
According to Phaladeepika, Rahu behaves like Saturn (Shanivat Rahu). This implies that while Rahu represents materialism, Saturn signifies karma that governs the consequences of a materialistic way of life. For example, Saturn embodies restriction, detachment, discipline, diseases, and indifference. Rahu, on the other hand, stands for materialistic pursuits, indulgence in substances like alcohol, carelessness, capriciousness, greed, and disregard for elders. When someone exhibits Rahu's spendthrift tendencies, Saturn follows with karmic consequences, such as poverty or hardship. Thus, Saturn (karma) trails Rahu (actions).
Key Observations on This Conjunction
1. The world may undergo some transformational changes, both positive and negative.
2. Saturn’s transit in Pisces will likely yield average results, contrary to the predominantly negative projections. Saturn transits through its own nakshatra, Uttara Bhadrapada, until the first week of February 2027. However, its entry into Revati nakshatra, which is inimical to Saturn, may bring challenges.
3. Saturn, a windy planet, entering a watery sign like Pisces indicates the possibility of water-related calamities, such as oceanic disturbances or river-related disasters, during this transit (until 23 February 2028). However, Jupiter’s 9th aspect on Pisces (its own sign) will mitigate some of Saturn's malefic effects.
4. During 2025 and 2026, cyclones, typhoons, tsunamis, and earthquake-related tsunamis may occur in certain parts of the world.
5. The conjunction of Saturn and Rahu lasts from 29 March 2025 to 19 May 2025, a total of roughly 52 days. During this period, from 18 April 2025 to 20 April 2025, Saturn and Rahu will conjunct at the same degree.
6. As mentioned above, caution is advised throughout the 52-day period (less than two months), with particular attention during the 3rd and 4th weeks of April 2025 to mitigate any adverse effects of this Saturn–Rahu conjunction.
7. It’s worth noting that this conjunction occurs in Pisces, which is ruled by Jupiter, a benefic planet. Most of this conjunction (Saturn & Rahu) period falls under the Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra, which is also associated with Jupiter. Hence, the entire celestial event is under Jupiter's benefic influence.
There is no reason to worry excessively about this conjunction, as some have suggested. These are general predictive observations, and the actual results will depend on individual charts, planetary placements, radical movements of other celestial bodies, birth ascendants, and Rashi signs. Therefore, the outcomes cannot be generalized for all individual horoscopes.
